Bomb Ruin Outlaws MC series Book 1 edition by Amy Isan Romance eBooks
I am fundamentally averse to the idea of MC romances because I just don't find the idea of a bunch of leather-bedecked bearded dudes on Harleys attractive - especially not if they refer to said Harleys as "hogs" and throw around F-bombs the way a creepy dude with a front-row seat throws dollar bills at a strip club. I'm honestly confused about how many women find the idea of this attractive. Billionaires, I understand - but bikers... I've never seen a charming biker. Or an attractive biker. Most of the bikers I've seen are dudes in their forties with bushy beards and dirty leather jackets who ruin nice summer days by revving their g-d engines. No, thanks.
So why did I read this? I lost a bet. Well... no, MC romances are a category on this romance challenge I'm doing, and since everyone else had to suffer through bodice rippers and sheikh romances, it seemed only fair that I encounter my worst nightmare too. Plus, it was free. And only 100 pages. I figured hey, it's short - if I hate it, I only have to hate it for about 1/3 as long as I would a novel.
Cassie hates her job and her boss and her stupid life. I could just picture her in my mind as that over-entitled, lazy, flaky person we all know who thinks they deserve more than they have but doesn't want to work for it. Case(s) in point she's late for work all the time and lies about why, and is super judgy of her roommate because she can't get any.
When she witnesses an accident involving a motorcycle (I can't remember if she was at fault, and I do not care), she crosses paths with Logan, AKA Bomb. And since he's mostly referred to as "Bomb" in this book, it took me a while to figure out that Logan = Bomb. He's not thrilled when he finds out Cassie called the police because his MC gang is into some shady sh*t, so he goes through her purse and takes her driver's license so he knows where she lives now.
When Bomb shows up at her door, waving her license tauntingly, she debates about whether or not to let him in. Literally - this is something she asks herself. And guess what? GUESS WHAT?
She lets him in.
For a short, this doesn't have much sex. The characters don't get together until the very end. Most of it is Cassie whining about her job and obsessing over this guy she doesn't know, and Bomb doing shady MC sh*t and thinking about how much he wants to have sex with this girl he doesn't know. The sex scenes are terrible, and at one point the heroine thinks to herself "I want to taste his soul."
I won't be picking up any of the other books in this series, but at least I've checked MC romance off my list.

Bomb Ruin Outlaws MC series Book 1 edition by Amy Isan Romance eBooks Reviews
The reason I have it a 3 was because I didn't care for the way the book ended. Just when I thought that there was more the book was over. I really enjoyed the book, but would have loved to read more. I would recommend it to anyone who likes romance and motorcycles.
This book was ok to me I probably won't read any of the others...... There was one steamy scene and the rest was just flat for me... The female main character was grumpy and got attitude for no reason and I did t like her at all....
So much potential with a good story but so little pages it fell a little short. I get it, cost was nothing but it kinda confused me if there is more of their story or will book 2 start off with someone else. Only one way to find out so I'll take a chance on Book 2...seems to have great reviews.
I was a little disappointed. There didn't seem do be much going on at all, and when there was a little interesting to the story it wasn't covered much at all. I think there was a lot of character and basic plot stuff in this book. When every one gets their role in the storyline I hope to see a more interesting and engaging book as the series really gets going.
When I saw a new biker novella for $0.99 I decided to give it a whirl. As expected it was a very quick read, and the ending is unresolved leaving the door open for more.
I have read quite a few MC stories. In comparison it just felt like this one was trying too hard and went a little over the top trying to convey too much in too few pages. It was like I was being hit over the head with how bored/ disillusioned Cassie was with her life, what a jerk her boss is, etc. It had a great blurb and a lot of promise so I may pick up the next book but I haven't decided yet.
This is actually the first by I have read by Amy Isan. I'm not a fan of motorcycle romance however I do find myself captivated by this new series. Gave the Book 5 stars thought the storyline was innovative and very realistic. At times I was catching myself,it was as though it was playing in my head, crazy but that is when you know a book is a winner. This book is a POV, but I still stand by my assessment. Cassie is in a perpetual limbo, boring life,no excitement,no insatiable sex..that all changes on the street. Spotting the mystery man she is held captivated,mesmerized..The hungry look of a predator. After a mishaps she realizes she is over her head. Logan is part of a brotherhood,he has no interest in romantic entanglements. Nothing and no one has ever threatened his position with his biker crew. She was never supposed to a part of his life, only an unattainable fantasy. But when she crashes into the gang's president, she is now on Logan's(not to mention, she is on the bikers) radar! Can these two just have a no strings encounter? Or is one taste just not enough! This series is just heating up!
I've read a few MC books before and I have to be honest and say that this didn't do it for me. It was like I kept expecting things to be explained or dug more into and it never happened and then when it ended I was at a loss for what I really felt about this book.. and I was also thinking "where is the rest"..
After been thinking about what to write in a review for a whole day this is what I feel
-This book could use more filling
-The dynamic in the MC was off so it didn't really feel believable to me.. (More research had been a good idea I think)
-The sex scene happened in a weird way.. it was like there was no real build up and again I felt it wasn't really believable..
